Carl Jung says in
the prologue to his autobiography, Memories, Dreams, Reflections: "I have
now undertaken, in my eighty-third year, to tell my personal myth. I can only make direct
statements, only 'tell stories'. Whether or not the stories are true is not the problem.
The only question is whether what I tell is my fable, my truth."
In this performance,
Ray Gray brings to life Jung's first person stories of his confrontation with the unconscious,
his spiritually precocious childhood and his wisdom years. Ray Gray weaves a story-teller's
enchantment with the voice of C.G. Jung talking about himself as a young man and a boy.
The result informs us about Jung's personality and the roots of his psychological theories.
